By Sea 
The main operators to get to Brittany directly are either Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth or Condor Ferries from Poole & Weymouth, they both operate a daily service into and out of St Malo which is only 25 minutes from the house.
Brittany ferries also operates two other routes from Portsmouth to Normandy these being Caen (a 90 minutes drive) & Cherbourg (a 2hr Drive), these routes benefit from being much shorter crossings so cabins are not always required and in peak season they also operate extra high speeed catermarans.
For those willing to do a longer drive then it is also possible to use speedferries on the Dover - Bologne route or LD Lines from Portsmouth - Le Havre
